Step 1: Turn on your Windows’ Bluetooth

Take your cursor to the bottom right of the screen, and click on the Notifications tab. There, you’ll see a Bluetooth icon amid a number of other icons. Click this icon to turn on Bluetooth.

Step 2: Turn on your Headset

After doing that, turn to your headset. Press its Power on/off button to turn on the headset. Keep the button pressed until the blinking light has become stable. That means your handset is ready to connect.

Step 3: Add Bluetooth device

To follow this step, press Windows Key + I on your laptop. A new screen will appear, on which you should make sure that the Bluetooth is on. Next, there will be an option asking you to Add Bluetooth or other Device.

Click this option, select the model/name of your headset, and select Pair. Provided your Windows 10 device has paired with your headset, you should see a Connected label under the model/name of the headset.

Step 4: Launch Skype

Once you’ve made sure that both the devices are connected, launch Skype from your Windows device. Provided you’re using Windows 10, just search for Skype in your Windows search bar.

Click on the resulting Skype icon, add the login details (username and password) in the subsequent Skype Window, and make a call. You should be able to hear the conversation via your Bluetooth headset.

On a Mac

As you already know, Skype isn’t limited to Android and Windows device. Mac users could also join in on the fun. Here’s how you could do that.

Step 1: Turn on your headset’s Bluetooth

As stated earlier, press the Power on/off button to turn on the headset. Keep the button pressed until the blinking light has become stable. That means your handset is ready to connect.

Step 2: Turn to Your Mac

Once you’ve turned on your Mac computer, find and click the Apple menu. Once inside the menu, select System Preferences. Next, click Bluetooth. This should turn the Bluetooth on.

In the latest Mac computers, this step would hold true. However, in some of the older versions, the option of Bluetooth might not be available, in which case you won’t be able to connect Bluetooth headset with your Mac computer.

Step 3: Pairing the devices

Since you’ve turned on the Bluetooth, now you should press Set Up New Device. Choose the model/name of your headset from the subsequent list. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your Bluetooth headset with your Mac.

Step 4: Changing Input

Although you have connected your Mac computer to your Bluetooth, the outlet to music is still the speaker of your mac. To change it to your Bluetooth headset, once again click on the Apple menu and select System Preferences.

From the list of options, select Sound. Then, select Input, and finish up the process by clicking on the name/model of your Bluetooth headphone.

Step 5: Launch Skype

First of all, select and launch the Finder application from your Mac doc. Once the application has opened, select Applications from the list of menus. Tap on the search area, and enter Skype.

A Skype icon will appear, double-click on it, enter your login details and log-into skype.

Step 6: Final Step

Inside Skype, click on the Options menu. There, you’ll see a tab titled Audio Settings, tap it. A drop-down menu will appear, labeled Microphone, Speakers, and Ringing.

Once inside, you’ll see a list of Bluetooth headsets which you have previously connected with your Mac computer. Find and select your current Bluetooth headset’s model/name form the list.
